Peter Arnold and Andy Self created Arnold & Self in 1986.
Arnold and Self began as a furniture delivery service for several local businesses, including Allders Department Stores. Ian Siddle (the current MD) joined the company in 1989 after working in the transport department of Allders. Arnold & Self got the necessary experience to operate in the removals business by delivering major furniture items and domestic appliances.
The business added furniture storage, archival storage, commercial and international removals to the company over time.
Arnold and Self now run an 8-vehicle fleet from their 14,000-square-foot warehouse on Willow Lane Trading Estate.
